Finance reconciliations automation
A mid-market financial services firm struggled with lengthy month-end reconciliations that consumed senior analysts' time and created delays in reporting. Clearskytrail conducted a diagnostic combining process mining with stakeholder interviews to surface repetitive handoffs and exception hot-spots. We co-designed a simplified reconciliation flow with clear decision rules and implemented a targeted automation that handled routine matching and flagged true exceptions. The pilot included revised operating procedures and a dashboard for reconciliation throughput and exception aging. Within two months the pilot achieved a 35 percent reduction in average reconciliation time, a 50 percent cut in routine manual touches, and a reduction in late reporting incidents. The client adopted the automation across three business units and implemented governance routines to monitor ongoing exceptions.
